Terms of Service

Last updated 24 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and MayaMemo, an independent project operated by Satyam Arya (India) for use of the MayaMemo service, CLI, SDKs and MCP integrations. By creating a workspace or using the API you accept them. If you use MayaMemo for an organisation, you confirm you may bind that organisation.

1. The service

MayaMemo stores and serves project context for AI coding agents — memories, checkpoints, context compilations and an audit ledger. The hosted service is currently in paid alpha: it is production-grade in the ways we measure (tested, backed up, drilled) but the feature set evolves quickly. The CLI, SDKs and MCP tooling are open source under the MIT licence.

2. Accounts and keys

  • You are responsible for your account credentials and API keys. Keys are shown once and stored hashed — we cannot recover a lost key, only revoke it.
  • Keep keys out of public repositories. You can revoke any key at any time from the dashboard.
  • You must be at least 18 to use the service.

3. Plans, quotas and fair use

  • Plan limits (projects, events, compilations, checkpoints) are enforced by the API. When you hit a limit you get an honest 402 naming the limit and the reset date — no silent throttling.
  • Limits exist to keep the service fast for everyone. Attempts to evade quotas, degrade other workspaces, or use the service as a proxy for unrelated bulk processing are not allowed.
  • We may adjust plan limits with notice; paid plans keep their advertised limits for the period you paid for.

4. Payment

  • Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly, in Indian Rupees via Razorpay (UPI, cards, netbanking, UPI AutoPay). We never see or store your card or UPI credentials.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel at any time — access continues to the end of the paid period and no further charges are made. See the Refund Policy.
  • Taxes: prices are shown inclusive of applicable taxes where required. If you need a GST invoice, contact us with your GSTIN.

5. Your content, our service

  • You own your content. Memories, checkpoints, events and attachments remain yours. You grant us only the licence needed to operate the service (store, process, serve, back up).
  • We own the service itself — the software, brand and infrastructure (excluding the MIT-licensed tooling).
  • You are responsible for the content you submit and for having the right to submit it.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use MayaMemo to store or process: unlawful content; other people's secrets without authorisation; malware; or content designed to attack, deceive or harm. Do not attempt to break workspace isolation, probe other tenants, or disrupt the service.

7. Availability and support

  • We aim for high availability and monitor the service; the current status is always at /status.
  • No formal SLA applies to free or alpha plans. If the service is materially unavailable for more than 48 hours in a billing month on a paid plan, you may request a service credit for that month.
  • Support is by email: satyamarya1511+mayamemo@gmail.com.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is". AI-assisted outputs can be wrong — review compiled context and extracted memories before relying on them. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the greater of the fees you paid in the three months before the claim, or ₹1,000. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

9. Termination

  • You can stop at any time: cancel the subscription, export your data, delete your workspaces.
  • We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms or endangers the service, with notice where practical. If we terminate you without cause, we refund the unused portion of any prepaid period.

10. Changes and governing law

Material changes to these terms are announced at least 14 days in advance; continued use after that means acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
